Information We Collect

The App collects the following categories of information to provide its services:

• Account information: Your name and email address, provided at registration.
• Learning progress: Records of modules accessed, completion status, and time spent on content.
• Quiz scores: Results from in-app knowledge assessments tied to your account.
• Module feedback: Ratings and comments you submit about educational content.
• In-app navigation and usage logs: Page views, feature interactions, and app usage patterns collected by Base44 (our hosting and authentication backend) for performance monitoring and platform improvements.

⚠️ Users must not enter, upload, or share any patient-identifiable or protected health information (PHI) within this application. The App is not designed or authorized to process PHI.

How We Use Information

Information collected is used to:

• Authenticate your account and provide personalized access to content
• Track and display your learning progress and quiz performance
• Improve educational content based on aggregated usage and feedback
• Maintain the security and functionality of the App
• Communicate with you regarding your account if necessary

Third-Party Services & Data Processors

The App is built on and hosted by Base44, which serves as our backend infrastructure provider for authentication, database storage, and usage analytics. Base44 processes user data on our behalf as a data processor. Usage logs and account data are stored within Base44's platform.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use advertising networks or share data with marketers.

Data Retention

Your account data, learning progress, quiz scores, and feedback are retained for as long as your account remains active. If you request account deletion, your personal data will be removed from active systems within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any legal or operational retention requirements. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect user information. Authentication and data storage are handled by Base44 using industry-standard security practices.

Clinical Notes

The "My Clinical Notes" feature allows you to save personal educational reminders and pearls. Notes are stored exclusively on your local device (browser localStorage) and are never transmitted to our servers or stored in any database. They are not associated with your account and cannot be accessed by Rethink GI.

⚠️ You must not enter patient names, MRNs, dates of birth, or any other patient-identifiable or protected health information (PHI) in the notes feature. This application is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA and is not authorized to process PHI.

Clearing your browser data or uninstalling the app will permanently delete any locally stored notes.

Your Rights & Account Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data. Rethink GI provides an in-app account deletion flow available in Settings → Delete Account.

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently and immediately deleted:

• Your account profile (name, email, role)
• All learning progress records and module completion history
• All quiz scores and results
• All module assignments made to your account
• All feedback you submitted about modules

The following may be retained in anonymized or aggregated form for platform improvement, with no link to your identity:

• Aggregated usage statistics (e.g., overall module popularity, anonymous engagement trends) retained by Base44 as part of platform-level analytics

Response timeframe: In-app deletion is processed immediately upon confirmation. If you request deletion by email, we will respond and complete the deletion within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed toward children under 13 and is intended exclusively for licensed or training healthcare professionals.
